Ping Kattiyapornpong is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the School of Business, University of Wollongong (Australia), within the Faculty of Business and Law. She holds a PhD in Marketing from Thammasat University and has been a faculty member since 2010. Her research focuses on sustainable tourism, community-based tourism development, and the role of technology in tourism and marketing. Key interests include platform-mediated entrepreneurship, tourism resilience, and work-integrated learning.
Education: B.A. in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Bradford, M.B.A. in International Marketing from the University of Technology Sydney, and a PhD in Marketing from Thammasat University’s International Program.
Research interests span tourist behavior, tourism marketing, services marketing, and international marketing. Recent work emphasizes digital platforms’ impact on micro-entrepreneurship and sustainable practices in hospitality. She has secured multiple internal grants from the University of Wollongong, including funding for studies on tourism recovery marketing and work-integrated learning frameworks in Thai universities.
Her publications (75+ outputs) explore topics like omnichannel marketing dynamics, social media’s role in tourism, and food safety perceptions. Current PhD supervision topics include social media influencers’ impact on sustainable consumption and ethical leadership behavior. Completed supervisees have focused on micro-entrepreneur-bank relationships and multichannel service quality.
