Pinar Ceyhan is an International Lecturer in Design at Lancaster University, affiliated with the Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts (LICA) and the School of Design. Her work focuses on design evaluation, creative methodologies, and interdisciplinary design practices. She is a core member of the Lancaster Evaluation Group and Imagination Lancaster, contributing to innovative tools like the EViD Tool for project evaluation. Her research emphasizes collaborative design, creative assessment frameworks, and cross-cultural curriculum development.
Recent projects include consultancy work for universities and organizations, such as the 'Creative Evaluation Methods for UCL' and the 'Full Switch: Research Consultancy Programme.' She advises three PhD students: Yushu Dong, Zijun Li, and Violet Owen, who also serves as a Senior Research Associate. Her articles and books, such as The Little Book of Creative Evaluation, highlight her commitment to advancing evaluation practices through design.
Pınar’s grants include seed funding for commercializing the EViD Tool and a Santander Enterprise Award. She actively participates in international conferences and collaborates with institutions like Dogus University and the Design Research Society.
