Piia Kalamees is an Associate Professor in Civil Law at the University of Tartu's School of Law within the Faculty of Social Sciences. She has held this position since 2016 and also serves as Programme Director for bachelor's and master's studies. Her educational background includes a PhD (2013), Master's (2007), and BA (2005) from the University of Tartu, all supervised by Karin Sein.
Kalamees's research focuses on civil law frameworks, particularly consumer protection in digital economies, liability for electronic transactions, and comparative analyses of EU contract law.
