Pietro A. Sasso

Dr. Pietro A. Sasso is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education at Delaware State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Old Dominion University, an M.S. in Higher Education & Counseling from the University of Rochester, and a B.A. in Psychology from Christopher Newport University. His research focuses on amplifying student voices to address educational equity, racial justice, and co-curricular spaces. He has published over 90 peer-reviewed articles, 12 co-edited books, and secured grants totaling $1.7 million. Awards include the ACPA and AFA recognitions, and he is a faculty research fellow at Penn State’s Timothy J. Piazza Center for Fraternity & Sorority Research.

Research interests include college student development, racial/gender dynamics in Greek life, and systemic oppression in education.

He also addresses faculty isolation pre-tenure and adjunct-faculty collaboration barriers.
