Prof. Pieter van der Veer is a faculty member at Utrecht University's Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies within the College of Humanities. He also serves as Director of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity in Göttingen. His career spans teaching and leadership roles at institutions including Free University of Amsterdam, University of Pennsylvania, and International Institute for Asian Studies.
