- Veterinary Surgery
- Cartilage Repair Mechanisms
- Biomaterial Development
- Joint Inflammation Models
- Stem Cell Therapy Applications
His research portfolio includes 15 recent publications focusing on collagen scaffolds, extracellular matrix engineering, stem cell applications, and osteochondral defect repair. These studies employ large animal models (goats, horses) to develop clinical solutions for cartilage regeneration and joint disease management through biomimetic approaches.
Key collaborations include: AMBER Spoke SFI grants, European Cells & Materials journal research, and interdisciplinary work with the Tissue & Cell Engineering Society. His laboratory investigates translational models for osteochondral repair using 3D-printed fixation devices, growth factor adsorption techniques, and immunocompetent xenogeneic models.
