Pierre Thomé

Pierre Thomé is an Artistic Professor at the Hochschule Luzern - Design & Kunst (Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art). He leads the Illustration study program, which he expanded in 2006 to include the Non Fiction specialization (scientific illustration). His career spans freelance illustration for media, books, and animation, as well as co-founding the comic magazine Strapazin in 1984.

Education background: Trained as an art educator with a specialization in graphic design and illustration. Professional experience includes over a decade as a freelance illustrator for magazines, children's books, and film projects before entering academia.

Leadership roles include heading the Illustration department since 2002, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches between art and science through his academic work.
