Pierre Balthazard

Pierre Balthazard is a Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU), serving in the Department of Marketing, Management, and Entrepreneurship within Silberman College. He previously served as Dean of Silberman College (2020–2023) and held leadership roles at St. Bonaventure University and California State University–Sacramento. His academic background includes a BSc from McGill University and MS/PhD degrees from the University of Arizona.

His research focuses on leadership neuroscience, organizational behavior, and entrepreneurship. Key areas include leader self-complexity, ethical leadership, neurophysiological team dynamics, and the application of neuroscience in organizational contexts. He has secured over $6 million in grants from agencies like NSF, DARPA, and the Department of Education, and has authored over 100 publications and a textbook on organizational neuroscience.

Balthazard’s work blends empirical research with practical applications, including psychometric instrument development and technology-based solutions for sustainable enterprises. He has pioneered methodologies combining EEG/fMRI for analyzing leadership processes and team performance.
