Pierre-Adrien Bolze is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, specializing in gynecological oncology with particular expertise in gestational trophoblastic diseases (GTD). He serves as Research Director for the French Reference Center for Gestational Trophoblastic Diseases and is an active member of the FRANCOGYN multicenter research consortium.
His research focuses on:
- Biomarker discovery for GTD treatment response prediction
- Surgical technique optimization (cervical/vulvar cancer margins, robotic hysterectomy)
- Biobanking infrastructure development for rare gynecological malignancies
- Immunotherapy applications in trophoblastic neoplasia
Recent publications (2023-2025) demonstrate strong output in surgical standardization protocols and multicenter outcome studies, with significant contributions to vulvar carcinoma margin analysis and ovarian cancer cytoreduction sequencing. His work consistently appears in leading gynecological oncology journals.
Dr. Bolze actively supervises graduate students and serves as Thesis Director at Lyon 1, with recent mentorship including Marie Margaillan's 2017 work on choriocarcinoma management. His clinical practice integrates research through the national GTD reference center, where he implements biomarker-driven treatment protocols.
