Pierfrancesco Fiore is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Salerno. His work focuses on sustainable urban development, architectural reuse, risk mitigation in inland regions, and participatory planning strategies. He leads projects like the RI. PRO VA. RE initiative, emphasizing resilient regeneration of small towns and cultural heritage preservation. Fiore’s research integrates spatial decision-support systems, adaptive architecture, and interdisciplinary collaboration. He has contributed to studies on post-pandemic school design, flexible hospital layouts, and seismic/flood risk management in Southern Italy. Active in international academic networks, he promotes Erasmus+ collaborations and sustainable development charters for minor municipalities.
