Prof. Dr. Pia Lange is a Professor of Public Law, European Law, Social Law, and Gender and Diversity Dimensions in Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Bremen. She also serves as Director at the Centre of European Law and Politics (ZERP) since December 2022 and as a Judge at the Constitutional Court of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen since October 2023. Her academic leadership includes a DIFIS Fellowship on ecological transformation and social policy.
- Education: LL.M. in Constitutional and Administrative Law (University of Cape Town, 2017–2018), Habilitation (University of Göttingen, 2021), Doctorate in Law (University of Göttingen, 2011).
Her research bridges constitutional law with social policy, environmental law, and gender/diversity dimensions. Recent work analyzes housing policy under the German constitution, electoral law reform, strategic litigation before constitutional courts, and intersections of environmental policy with social equity.
