Phoebe Lehmann Zarnetske

Phoebe Lehmann Zarnetske is a Professor in the Department of Integrative Biology at Michigan State University's College of Natural Science. As Director of the Institute for Biodiversity, Ecology, Evolution, and Macrosystems (IBEEM), she leads interdisciplinary research initiatives. She is affiliated with the Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior (EEB) Program, Environmental Science and Policy Program (ESPP), and Kellogg Biological Station (KBS) LTER. Her work focuses on spatial ecology and community composition mechanisms.

Her research expertise spans climate change ecology, macrosystems biology, biotic interactions, and species invasions. She pioneered the Spatial Ecology Graduate Certificate Program to train the next generation of ecologists in advanced spatial analysis techniques.
