Dr. Phillip Mulligan is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T). Previously, he served as an Assistant Research Professor in Geosciences and Geological and Petroleum Engineering at the same institution before transferring to MAE in 2021. His expertise spans explosives engineering, force protection, virtual reality, and weapon design.

His recent studies include modular blast probes, shockwave interactions with drones, and sintering processes for copper projectiles.
Professional Experience: Prior to academia, he worked as an Explosives Engineer at Corvid Technologies (2013–2016) and currently serves as president of Dagaz Technologies. His research bridges theoretical and applied explosive engineering, with applications in defense, civil infrastructure, and industrial safety.
