Philippe Wieser

Philippe Wieser is an Honorary Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the College of Management (CDM). He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree and a PhD from EPFL (1977 and 1981, respectively). His expertise spans supply chain strategies, logistics optimization, healthcare systems management, project management, and forecasting. He has held leadership roles, including Director of the IML (International Institute of Management for Logistics at EPFL) since 2000 and Full Professor at EPFL since 2008. He teaches at EPFL, IML, and institutions in Paris, Europe, and Africa.

• Developed the Valais healthcare information system and eHealth strategies
• Explored innovative logistics solutions like the AVEA airship project
