معرفی
Philippe Wagner is a Researcher at Lund University's Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics, affiliated with the CPUP (Cerebral Palsy Follow-Up Program) Children's Orthopedics Group. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through epidemiological research utilizing Swedish national registers.
His primary research focuses on paediatric orthopaedics, particularly cerebral palsy, hip displacement in nonambulatory children, and spastic diplegia, with secondary expertise in infectious disease epidemiology examining HIV-COVID-19 interactions. He employs register-based cohort analyses to investigate risk factors, developmental outcomes, and vaccination impacts, emphasizing methodological rigor in statistical reporting as evidenced by his co-authored guidelines in Acta Orthopaedica.
Wagner actively supervises doctoral research, serving as Assistant Supervisor for myocardial infarction studies using the SWEDEHEART register, and collaborates on projects comparing digital versus face-to-face interventions for osteoarthritis. His work demonstrates strong national collaboration within Sweden's medical research ecosystem.
As a core member of the CPUP group, he contributes to standardizing orthopaedic follow-up protocols for children with cerebral palsy while expanding register methodologies to cross-disciplinary health questions involving immunology and infectious diseases.
