Philippe RENAUD is a Professor at the University of Bern, Faculty of Chemistry and Biochemistry, serving as the Swiss coordinator for the SCOPES international research project. His academic work focuses on chemical synthesis methodologies with biological applications.

His research focuses on developing efficient synthesis methods for biologically relevant compounds through novel reaction pathways and environmentally sustainable approaches.
His seminar attracted undergraduate and graduate students from UnASM's Department of Physics and Chemistry, along with researchers and PhD candidates specializing in organic chemistry and natural compound biochemistry.
