Philippe Morel is a Professor at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, specializing in Italian Renaissance Art, particularly focusing on Florence and Rome, grotesques, decorative systems, and astrological iconography. He founded and directed the Center for the History of Renaissance Art (CHAR) since 2000 and coordinated the Master 1 research in art history at Paris I from 2005 to 2014.
