Philipp Wieder

Philipp Wieder serves as Honorary Professor at the Institute of Computer Science, University of Göttingen, while holding dual leadership positions at the Society for Scientific Data Processing mbH Göttingen (GWDG). He is Head of Data Science Infrastructures and Deputy Head/Group Leader of AG eScience, a joint institution between the University of Göttingen and Max Planck Society focused on research computing infrastructure.

His research centers on data-intensive scientific methodologies, with core expertise in eScience infrastructure development and large-scale data management systems. This work bridges computational science and domain-specific research through robust data processing frameworks applicable across physics, biology, and social sciences.

Prof. Wieder leads strategic initiatives in scientific data infrastructure at GWDG, directing the AG eScience group's development of scalable computing solutions.
