David Vollmuth is a researcher at the University of Göttingen's Department of Nature Conservation and Landscape Management, working on the project "Sustainability as an Argument." He holds a Bachelor's degree in Ecosystem Management (2013) and a Master's in Biodiversity and Ecology (2016), with extensive experience as a research assistant and tutor.

His research focuses on historical and ecological relationships between vegetation and society, particularly studying coppice forests, urban vegetation patterns, and arable weeds. He investigates ecosystem services and sustainability concepts through interdisciplinary analysis of historical sources and contemporary ecological data.
Current work includes doctoral research on coppice forest sustainability, with fieldwork in the Göttingen area and spatial analysis of land use changes in southern Lower Saxony. His publications in preparation address plant community dynamics and species associations.
