Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Researchمعرفی
Michael Glemnitz is a Researcher at the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF), leading the Working Group "Provisioning of Biodiversity in Agricultural Systems" within Research Area 2 "Land Use and Governance". His work focuses on vegetation ecology in agricultural landscapes across Europe.
His research interests include:
- Agricultural Ecology
- Biodiversity Conservation in Agroecosystems
- Land Use Change Impacts on Habitat Function
- Climate-Land Use Interactions
- Segetal Flora Dynamics
- Arable Companion Biotopes Management
Dr. Glemnitz specializes in identifying site potentials for segetal florae and grassland-type open-land biotopes, analyzing land use influences on these ecosystems, and estimating effects of agricultural transitions on landscape habitat functionality. His work directly contributes to ZALF's research on critical societal challenges including "Agriculture for healthy soils and biodiversity" and "Agriculture under climate change".
As part of Research Area 2, his investigations examine interactions between climatic factors and land management practices across European agricultural systems, with particular focus on fallows, field edges, and semi-natural open-land biotopes.
