Philipp Blanck

Philipp Blanck is a Junior Scientist (Ph.D. Candidate) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), affiliated with the Institute for Chemical Technology and Polymer Chemistry. His research focuses on electrochemical ammonia synthesis, protonic ceramic fuel cells, chemical energy storage, and catalysis. He holds an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Chemical and Process Engineering from KIT, with his Master's thesis addressing dry reforming of steel plant exhaust gases and his Bachelor's thesis involving cryogenic phase equilibrium testing. Prior to academia, he worked as a state-certified intensive care nurse at a university hospital. His current doctoral research explores electrochemically enhanced low-temperature catalytic ammonia synthesis.

Blanck has published work in Energy Advances (2023), analyzing operating parameters in steel plant off-gas reforming. His expertise bridges chemical engineering, energy systems, and catalytic processes. He is a member of the Deutschmann research group at KIT, with a focus on applied chemical technology innovations.
