Mario Eck

Mario Eck is a Researcher and Ph.D. Student at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), affiliated with the Institute for Chemical Technology and Polymer Chemistry. He is part of the Exhaust-Gas Center Karlsruhe and works under the supervision of Prof. O. Deutschmann. His research focuses on catalytic technologies for exhaust gas after-treatment, including catalyst preparation, solid deposit formation in SCR systems, and spatial analysis of catalytic channels.

Education:

• M.Sc. in Chemistry (2018) from KIT, with a thesis on 'Experimentelle Untersuchungen an Oxidationskatalysatoren zur Abgasnachbehandlung' in Technical Chemistry.
• B.Sc. in Chemistry (2015), with a thesis on 'Spektroskopische Untersuchung von Cyclooctinderivaten' in Organic Chemistry.

Research Interests: Catalytic systems for emission control, urea-induced solid deposits in SCR catalysts, characterization of exhaust system components, and temperature/concentration profiling in catalytic reactors. His work supports advancements in environmental and industrial chemical engineering.

Lab/Affiliations: Active in the Exhaust-Gas Center Karlsruhe, collaborating with the Deutschmann research group.
