Philipp Aduatz

Philipp Aduatz serves as a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Design, University of Applied Arts, specializing in the integration of advanced materials science with industrial design and product development.

His educational foundation includes:

• Industrial Design studies at the University of Applied Arts (2002-2007)
• Doctoral studies in Natural Sciences at the University of Applied Arts (2007-2012)

His research centers on innovative materials development for practical design applications, with emphasis on sustainable manufacturing processes and material-library curation. He actively bridges theoretical materials science with real-world product design challenges through industry-academia partnerships.

He maintains the plastics materials library through strategic collaborations with Materiautech and ecoplus, while delivering specialized instruction in applied materials science. His self-employment as a product designer since 2007 demonstrates sustained industry engagement alongside academic responsibilities.
