Philip Wessel

Philip Wessel is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Central Florida's School of Global Health Management and Informatics within the College of Community Innovation and Education. With a career spanning 26 years in the U.S. Navy, he served as a Hospital Corpsman, Medical Planner, and held leadership roles in healthcare operations. Post-retirement, he became Administrator for Medicine and Surgery Services at the Orlando VA Medical Center before joining UCF in 2012.

Research/Teaching Focus: Leadership in healthcare systems, human resources management, and optimizing healthcare operations.
