Philip Scherrer

Philip Scherrer is Research Professor of Physics at Stanford University, specializing in solar physics and instrumentation. As principal investigator for NASA's Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager (HMI) aboard the Solar Dynamics Observatory, his work focuses on understanding solar magnetic fields and interior dynamics through advanced space-based observations.
