Professor Philip Quirke is a Professor of Pathology at the University of Leeds and Honorary Consultant Histopathologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He leads the Leeds Institute of Medical Research Division of Pathology and Data Analytics, the Pathology Colorectal Cancer Group, and the N6 Digital Pathology Network. His research focuses on bowel cancer, including surgical quality, clinical trials, screening, microbiome analysis, and AI-driven digital pathology. He leads two major Yorkshire Cancer Research programmes (£5.1M total) and collaborates internationally with institutions like Dana Farber, Harvard, and Karolinska Hospital.
