Associate Professor Philip Nakashima is an academic in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Monash University. His roles include being an ARC Future Fellow and a leading researcher in advanced electron microscopy techniques. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Western Australia alongside dual bachelor's degrees in Materials Engineering and Chemical Physics.
His research focuses on quantitative convergent-beam electron diffraction (QCBED), electron scattering theory, and chemical bonding analysis in materials like aluminum alloys, ceramics, and superlattices.
