Philip Lubin

Philip Lubin is a Full Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His research spans experimental cosmology, directed energy applications, and planetary defense, with a focus on millimeter-wave studies of the early universe and photonic propulsion systems. He leads the Experimental Cosmology Group and has contributed to groundbreaking work on the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) via the Planck mission.
