Philip Bayly

Philip Bayly is the Department Chair and Lee Hunter Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science at Washington University in St. Louis. He has been a faculty member since 1993 and holds affiliations with the Cardiac Bioelectricity & Arrhythmia Center (CBAC) and the Imaging Science PhD Program. His lab focuses on biomechanics, neuroimaging, and nonlinear dynamics in biological systems.

Labs & Teams: Leads the Bayly Lab in Jubel Hall, collaborating with CBAC and imaging science initiatives. Recent work includes studies on brain deformation mechanics, published in the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America.
