Philip Barletta

Dr. Philip Barletta serves as the Director of Operations of the NC State Nanofabrication Facility (NNF) and holds Affiliate Graduate Faculty status at North Carolina State University. He oversees a Class 100 cleanroom supporting over 80 graduate students across multiple disciplines. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Research Triangle Nanotechnology Network (RTNN), fostering collaboration among NC State, Duke, and UNC-CH.

• Bachelor's in Materials Engineering, Wilkes University (1996)

His research focuses on nanofabrication, thermoelectric materials (Bi₂Te₃), semiconductor processing, and energy-related technologies like photovoltaics and solid-state lighting. He has led Department of Defense and commercially funded projects.

Labs/Teams: Directs the NNF and collaborates with the RTNN to integrate academic, industrial, and government research efforts.
