Petter Wiik (b. 1966) is an Assistant Professor and pianist at the Academy of Dance within Oslo National Academy of Arts (KHiO), holding a full-time position since 2005. He holds an MSc from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (1984-1990) and studied composition at the Norwegian Academy of Music (1994-1998).
His research focuses on electronic and electroacoustic music for dance performances, emphasizing collaborative choreography, experimental sound design, and studio production. Key themes include kinetic rhythm integration, spatial audio, and narrative-driven compositions.
