Petri Parvinen is a Visiting Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, Aalto University. His research focuses on innovation selling, e-selling strategies, virtual reality applications in service encounters, and the growth of technology-based businesses. He holds a Doctoral degree (2003) and Master's degree (2001) in Business and Economics from Helsinki University of Technology and University of Oulu, respectively, alongside a Bachelor's degree from Turku School of Economics (1998).
Key research interests include leveraging virtual reality for collaborative services, experiential learning through immersive technologies, and data-driven analysis of digital marketing platforms like YouTube. His work intersects computer science, service management, and cognitive science to address modern business challenges.
Parvinen has received notable recognition, including the Emerald Literati Award (2019) and two awards in 2014. He actively contributes to academic conferences, presenting at events such as the Academy of Management Conference and IABS.
