Prof. Dr. Petra Wendler leads a research group at the Institute for Biology and Biochemistry (IBB) at the University of Potsdam. Her work focuses on structural and functional analysis of molecular machines using cryo-electron microscopy and biophysical methods.

The lab aims to integrate structural data with mutational analysis and biophysical experiments to address diseases caused by malfunctioning molecular machines, particularly focusing on allosteric regulation in AAA+ oligomers and accessory factor interactions.
