Petra Saskia Bayerl

Professor Petra Saskia Bayerl serves as Co-Director of the Centre of Excellence on Public Safety Management (CESAM) and Associate Dean of Diversity at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (Netherlands). She holds a PhD from Delft University of Technology’s Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering and a Master’s in psychology, linguistics, and organizational dynamics from Germany and the USA.

Her work bridges technological design with social science, particularly in crisis management, privacy trade-offs, and behavioral modeling of radicalization.

She actively participates in EU security initiatives as researcher and ethics committee member, with expertise in open-source intelligence, social media analysis, and policy design. Collaborations span institutions like Springer, IEEE, and CENTRIC.
