Prof. Petra Lohmann holds dual academic affiliations: she is a Professor of Architectural Theory at the Department of Architecture, Universität Siegen (since 2013), and a Lecturer in Architectural History and Theory at Alanus University Alfter (since 2022). She concurrently serves as President of the International Johann Gottlieb Fichte Society (since 2022) and 2nd Managing Director of the International Johann Gottlieb Fichte Research Center (IFF) at Bergische Universität Wuppertal (since 2019). Her research focuses on German Idealism, 19th-century aesthetic theory, and philosophical inquiries into emotion. She has organized conferences on topics such as 'Architectural Hermeneutics,' 'Fichte's Philosophical Works,' and 'Architecture and Humor,' showcasing her interdisciplinary engagement with philosophy and built environment studies.
