Petra Ezzeddine is a social anthropologist at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Faculty of Humanities, Charles University in Prague. She specializes in gender in migration, transnational care practices, and the marketization of care, with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe.
- Research Themes: Gendered migration dynamics, transnational care economies, aging in migration, social reproduction, and applied anthropology.
- Collaborative Projects: Co-leader of the ACES seed grant (2020-2021) on transnational care landscapes in Central Europe, co-founder of the EUROCare network, and participant in the VW Stiftung-funded CareOrg project.
- Scientific Awards: Recipient of multiple fellowships, including the ACES Fellowship (University of Amsterdam), Sasakawa Fellowship (Goethe University Frankfurt), and Erste Fellowship for Social Scientists.
- Advocacy & Partnerships: Works closely with Czech and Slovak NGOs advocating for migrant women and domestic workers, emphasizing gender equity and care policies.
