Petr Pitloun serves as an Associate Professor of Spanish Linguistics and Study Program Manager for Spanish programs at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. He is affiliated with the Department of Language and Culture within the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Teacher Education.
His research focuses on Spanish linguistics, with particular expertise in Costa Rican Spanish dialectology and Spanish verb tenses. Dr. Pitloun has published research on subjunctive and indicative moods in Costa Rican formal speech, contributing to our understanding of regional Spanish variations. His scholarly work bridges theoretical linguistics with practical language education applications.
