Peter Wysocki is a Professor of Accounting at Boston University's Questrom School of Business, holding the Everett W. Lord Distinguished Faculty Scholar title since 2021. His career includes prior roles at the University of Miami, MIT Sloan School of Management, and the University of Michigan. He holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Rochester (1999), an MA in Economics from the University of British Columbia (1997), and a BSc in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University (1990).
His research focuses on institutional links between capital markets and corporate disclosures, employing advanced methods like machine learning. Notable contributions include studies on IFRS adoption, earnings management, and investor protection. His work has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the AAA Distinguished Contribution Award (2014) and the Wildman Medal Award (2011).
