Peter Tack serves as Senior Lecturer at the School of Business and Economics and Assistant Professor at the Amsterdam Business Research Institute, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in Association Management since joining the institution in 1991.
He holds master’s degrees in civil engineering and business administration, providing a dual technical and managerial foundation for his work.
His research centers on Association Management, Nonprofit Leadership, and Organizational Behavior, with emphasis on practical applications for professional associations. Key publications explore dual leadership models, decision-making rationality, and architectural frameworks for associations, blending theoretical rigor with executive training insights.
Recent publications reveal a trajectory from structural analysis of associations toward integrating emotional and cognitive dimensions of leadership, with growing focus on sustainable organizational cultures within nonprofit ecosystems.

Tack directed the Post-Academic Courses in Association Management until 2006, transforming them into the Academy for Association Management where he remains guest lecturer.
