Peter T. Coleman is a Professor of Psychology and Education at Columbia University, affiliated with Teachers College and The Earth Institute. He directs the Morton Deutsch International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution (MD-ICCCR) and co-directs the Advanced Consortium for Cooperation, Conflict, and Complexity (AC4). His research focuses on conflict dynamics, peacebuilding, and systemic wisdom.

Research Interests: Coleman explores conflict intelligence, adaptive negotiation, cross-cultural adaptability, political polarization, and sustainable peace. Publications: Over 100 articles and 10 books, including The Way Out: How to Overcome Toxic Polarization (2021) and Making Conflict Work (2014). His articles analyze peace systems, adaptive conflict behaviors, and computational models for sustaining peace.
Affiliations: Member of the UN Mediation Support Unit’s Academic Advisory Council. Leads interdisciplinary teams at MD-ICCCR and AC4 to address global conflicts through systemic approaches.
