Peter Scott is a Sessional Instructor at OCAD University's Department of Strategic Foresight & Innovation within the School of Design. He holds a Master of Design (MDes) from OCAD University and a BFA (Honours) in Fine Arts from York University. His research focuses on social innovation, systems and design thinking, entrepreneurship education, and adult learning in business contexts.
- Former Manager of the Small Business Program at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management Executive Programs
- Completed certificate programs from MIT Sloan, Wharton, INSEAD, and Rotman Schools
His major research project explored 'Emerging Social Finance Education Values,' with publications on social finance at SocialFinance.ca and the Toronto International Microfinance Summit. He contributes to systemic design initiatives like the Economic Futures for Ontario 2032 foresight project and DEMO Publishing, which explores interdisciplinary design media theory.
Recent work includes co-authoring a paper at RSD7 (2020) addressing systemic design's ethical implications and unintended consequences.
Active in systemic design advocacy through the Systemic Design Association, Peter also engages in pre-competitive innovation collaborations focused on socio-technical systems.
