Peter Schubel

Prof. Peter Schubel serves as the Executive Director of the Institute for Advanced Engineering and Space Sciences at the University of Southern Queensland. He holds a BEng from USQ and a PhD from the University of Nottingham. His research focuses on advanced composite materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis, with applications in aerospace, railway infrastructure, and renewable materials. Key affiliations include the iLAuNCH (Operations), Centre for Future Materials, Centre for Astrophysics, and Centre for Agricultural Engineering.

His work spans cutting-edge areas such as dielectric cure monitoring for thermoset composites, stochastic modelling of curing cycles, and fatigue behavior of fiber-reinforced materials.
