Peter Oshkai is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria, affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering. His research focuses on complex fluid dynamics, including unsteady flows, flow-acoustic coupling, and fluid-structure interactions. His work addresses applications in marine renewable energy (e.g., tidal turbines), energy harvesting (oscillating foils), biomedical devices (droplet impact dynamics), and underwater noise mitigation for marine vessels.
