معرفی
Professor Peter O'Shaughnessy is an Affiliate Researcher at the University of Glasgow's School of Biodiversity, One Health & Veterinary Medicine. His research focuses on endocrine development, particularly androgen pathways, fetal testis biology, and the impact of environmental factors such as maternal smoking and endocrine disruptors on reproductive health. He has contributed to studies on Leydig and Sertoli cell regulation, chemical exposure effects, and placental biology.
Key research interests include fetal androgen production mechanisms, the role of FSH and androgens in testicular development, and environmental toxin impacts on developmental physiology. His work integrates molecular biology, genetics, and computational modeling to advance understanding of reproductive endocrinology and toxicology.
Publications span topics like compensatory androgen mechanisms in mice, bisphenol effects on hepatocyte-like cells, and maternal smoking's influence on fetal gene expression. Collaborations include studies on urban wildlife reproductive health and equine dietary effects.
