Peter N. Smith is a Professor of Economics and Finance at the University of York, where he has served since 1995. He leads the MSc Economics and Finance program and oversees graduate admissions. His research focuses on financial economics, macroeconomics, and labor economics, particularly in areas such as trend-following investment strategies, asset pricing models, and the gender pay gap. He has supervised 34 PhD students to completion and chairs the Trustees of the Money, Macro and Finance Society.
