Peter Munk Christiansen is a Professor at the Department of Political Science, Aarhus University. His work focuses on political science, public policy, and the role of interest organizations in governance, particularly within the Nordic context.
Research Interests: Christiansen's research explores the political role of corporations, elite career mobility, consensual policy-making in Nordic countries, and the influence of interest organizations in legislative and administrative processes. His studies often address the interplay between corporatism, lobbying, and public policy reform.
Projects: He co-led the INTERARENA research initiative (2011–2014), examining interest organizations' influence in political arenas, including their role in public administration, parliament, and media. This project aimed to understand how lobbying shapes policy debates and institutional dynamics in Denmark.
Collaborations: He frequently collaborates with Asbjoern Binderkrantz and other scholars on topics like corporate influence, elite transfers, and public governance reform. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Scandinavian Political Studies and European Journal of Political Research, as well as in policy-focused anthologies.
