Dr. Peter McMeekin is a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Health & Wellbeing, University of Glasgow. His research focuses on health economics, particularly in diabetes and stroke care, analyzing healthcare costs and resource allocation. He has contributed to studies evaluating cardiovascular disease costs in type 2 diabetes patients and improving economic assessments in stroke treatment.
His work integrates epidemiological data with economic modeling to inform public health policies. Collaborations include the Scottish Care Information - Diabetes Collaboration (SCI-Diabetes) and the ESO Health Economics Working Group.
