Peter Marvin serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, leveraging nearly 40 years of litigation expertise focused on construction and commercial disputes.
His academic and professional foundation includes:
- Undergraduate degree from University of Pennsylvania (1968)
- J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School (1972), where he served as Research Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review
- Clerkship with Judge Arlin M. Adams, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit (1972-1973)
Mr. Marvin's practice spans high-stakes construction litigation involving bid protests, owner-contractor disputes, and projects valued from $3 million to $500 million—including SEPTA's Market Street El Stations ($140 million), Pennsylvania Department of General Services facilities ($0.5 billion), I-95 reconstruction, and Philadelphia International Airport developments. His commercial work covers complex contract disputes, environmental cost recovery, insurance coverage, and digital advertising litigation for clients ranging from multinational contractors to small businesses.
As an active neutral, he serves on the American Arbitration Association's Commercial and Construction Panels and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, and was appointed by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania to arbitrate the nationwide Diet Drugs class action settlement.
