Peter Malanik

Peter Malanik is a part-time Lecturer at the Institute of Transport Economics and Logistics, Vienna University of Economics and Business, specializing in aviation management. He concurrently serves as a Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry in Austria and member of Global Industrial Markets, leveraging 25+ years of aviation industry leadership.

His academic foundation includes a doctorate in law from the University of Vienna. Professional expertise spans executive roles at Austrian Airlines (including Joint CEO, Board Member/COO, and Executive VP for Global HR), P&L management across Germany/Austria/CEE, and supervisory board evaluations for Austrian blue-chip companies.

Research and teaching focus on aviation management, transport economics, and logistics, informed by his operational experience in airline management and executive search. His industry insights bridge academic theory with real-world aviation sector challenges, particularly in regulatory compliance and organizational leadership within transportation networks.
