Peter M. Morrow

Peter M. Morrow is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto, where he has served since 2007 after earning his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. He holds additional roles as Co-Editor of the Canadian Journal of Economics and will be a Visiting Researcher at CESifo in July 2025.

His research specializes in international trade and labor economics, with a focus on:

• Analyzing long-term effects of trade agreements on workers using linked firm-employee data
• Examining how firms distribute demand shocks between profits and worker compensation
• Developing methodologies for estimating markups in multi-product firms

He publishes extensively in top-tier economics journals including the Review of Economic Studies, Journal of International Economics, and Journal of Public Economics. His collaborations span institutions globally, including Carnegie Mellon University, Aarhus University, and the Bank of Canada.
